How Much Do You Really Love Blogger?

Lately, i have been contemplating on leaving blogger behind and moving a few of my blogs to their own domains for reasons i’m not really too sure to be fully honest.

What are some benefits of using blogger.com?
What are some benefits of moving away from blogger.com?

Besides the obvious saving money without domain and hosting costs, but besides that, are there any real benefits (page rank, alexa rank, ect.) of keeping your blog hosted and registered with Blogger.com?

If i’m not mistaking your alexa ranking is generic as your site specifically is not being ranked but blogger.com is ranked with an Alexa ranking of ‘16.’ hmmmm… does this alter your ability to utilize other programs such as PayPerPost, ReviewMe, and others? Or have you found that these programs are becoming more accepting?

10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that's about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don't have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need a easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that's the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger's article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it's sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will likely come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival often enjoy a spike in new readers.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it's worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

There are many more things you can do. Finally the Agloco Viewbar is released, again. I apparently missed out the first time they released and then took it back. What is SEO?

Search engine optimization (SEO) as a subset of search engine marketing seeks to improve the number and quality of visitors to a web site from "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. The quality of visitor traffic can be measured by how often a visitor using a specific keyword leads to a desired conversion action, such as making a purchase or requesting further information. In effect, SEO is marketing by appealing first to machine algorithms to increase search engine relevance and secondly to human visitors. The term SEO can also refer to "search engine optimizers", an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients.

Search engine optimization is available as a stand-alone service or as a part of a larger marketing campaign. I personally would say start with the awesome SEO book and then research, research, research and implement it on your site. Search engine traffic is a good thing! Think free traffic that converts to sell after sell creating more customers.

Ok well... maybe it's time that i force some of my advice on you...

well where do you want to begin? hmmmm...
So i've been thinking much about time and life lately. Time because it's never enough and life because it flies by when you think you have just enough to complete your day and then SMACK! (sound effects needed) and there you are preparing for bed with a ton of other smaller projects unfinished. So what does that make you? A procrastinator? Lazy? Unmotivated? Unaccomplished? What?

Well i'll tell you a secret... some of us are already labeled as the aforementioned titles. Some of you might just be that, lazy and unmotivated or unaccomplished. Not everyone breaks their back for someone else or for a dirt job. The point being is that life is passing us by. What will it say on your gravestone? Here lies so & so, a great employee, a great worker, a good Monday morning friend by the coffee machine. Wtf? Yeah that's what i just said... no clue... Well, what the hell are you doing? Blaze a path for yourself and offspring.

Do you know how many of us are plagued by poverty, or the spirit of unsuccess, some even death. Guess what maybe it's not your fault, maybe you're just a product of your environment or the previous generations in your family tree. Not all families were founded on gold mines or understood the importance of imports and exports. So why not do something about it? Why not blaze a path for yourself? Improve your life, and the time is better than ever before. What do you have to lose? Your career? Your job? Keep it, but work towards something you want.

I'll tell you another secret... YOUR JOBS ARE KILLING YOU!!!! as well as your careers.

What will your gravestone say? You were a great person but missed out on the great things that life has to offer? Stop living to make someone rich... Learn to live for yourself... In fact, look at some generations... they are fighting for their independence... No, not in a third world country, hell, they've been fighting for years, but in the states... All the pain, the hate, the want to seperate themselves from the world, from their rents (parents)... it's sad and needs to be addressed... so i'll address it... Tomorrow...

O'Reilly's sole point was to make these two look like idiots 100% while at the same time secretly spreading his word continuing to wage war against "Hip-Hop," that he apparently began by single handedly attacking Ludacris. O'Reilly's defense was to arm himself with a black so-called educated person (the Principal) who felt the same way O'Reilly felt. Together they both bashed hip-hop and how it influenced the kids in the inner cities and how it was bad and how they were bad role models, blah blah!

We've all heard the argument...

So Dame and Cam'ron held there own by trying to inform both O'Reilly and his black partner, that the media is in fact the one with the negative influence... hmmm... think about that...

O'Reilly and his black partner made themselves look like jack asses, because I'm sure O'Reilly made the assumption that rappers are just ordinary street hoodlums and well uneducated. Such a mark buster... Well, the media never really failed as O'Reilly managed to succeed at making "everyone" on the air look like jackasses including himself losing trying to shut down Dame Dash and Cam'ron while trying to make a point... Kudos to you asshole... Man, i wish i had four hands... SO I CAN GIVE THAT ASS FOUR THUMBS DOWN!!! I'll stick to MSNBC....

Tips on keeping your pad clean

Ideas on improving your dorm space... well you always want to keep it lady or guy friendly... ever have that night when someone you are interested in is wants to come over and they live eons away? How about you two have been tossing hints all night and although you are catching and eating the signs like hot cakes your dorm space is still a wreck from the night before (players only) or from the week of hell and hard work that resulted with no time to clean... I think we have all seen nights like these... the next morning don't bother calling them because they have probably either misplaced your number, got back with their chump of an ex, forgot all about meeting you, well, some of you can catch my drift... well tell you what... Keep the dorm space clean and this won't happen to you but for now here are some tips...

1. Pick up throughout the week so when Friday comes all you have to do is place the scented candles in there rightful places and light the incense sticks. There is nothing that will say your space is complete like a fresh scent added to lively up everything.

2. Do the dishes as you use them. Living in a dorm space, this one may not apply to you unless you have become a true "Chef Boyardee" wiht the microwave or the "Foreman" that sits under your hiding creatively under your bed. Stop waiting until the final hour get the dishes done, as you use them, meaning after that long stretch of eating that nice meal get yourself up and moving, plus doing the dishes will help you eliminate that "crash" time. Never sleep on a full stomach after a meal.

3. Keep the toys in one central location. All you need is your private toy sitting baitingly under the couch cushion or "not so soft" matress as you are trying to seduce your future "train wreck" of a significant other. I use "Train Wreck" because it is just that much harder to meet someone who is a true genuine person these days, but then again who wants that?

4. Ok so, it's very important to be yourself... right! right! so maybe don't hide all the magazines but rather hide the incriminating ones and leave one "Female/ Male humor" magazine out and about inbetween the GQ, Essence, Men's Health, People, Cosmo, Business Week, Real Estate Now and The INC. magazines. Let them know that you have style, passions, class and all that good stuff. After all we are all still in college seeking professional careers. This may apply unless you have settled for the professional student route. The magazines people read say more than they think about them. Hey, if you do not think so try dating the woman that is engulfed in the those fashion magazines or the chap that enjoys the adult magazines for the articles.

5. Make the dorm space enjoyable, then and only then you will want to keep it clean. A boring space is a dirty space. Sometimes rearranging furniture can make a heck of a difference. Add a Bean bag chair or a Poofbags foof chair they tend to say that you know how to have fun and enjoy your surroundings. Hell, I bought two myself and honestly people love them. Ever find that person down the hall that keeps coming in your room, not necessarily to see you but to take food or play video games or SIT IN YOUR CHAIR? wth? Well, knowing that your dorm space is enjoyed by others why not keep it clean. Women will love it because it is clean unlike all of her other male friends and guys will love it because it is more than just the typical female's room

Enjoy ladies and chaps and limit the odds of missing out on what can possibly be the best time of your life... of course always be selective of the people you invite to your space, it can easily turn into the night from hell... with you babysitting your friend because he's too, one to many in the hole and passed out on your Poofbags wedge.

Ok so I'm starting school again and honestly i'm feeling schooled out... anyone with me on this? I mean man how many years of schooling do you need so that when you finish you have to run back to school just to get a decent job. I've found a new found love for insomnia but then again it could be one of two things... the uncomfortable heat that slips through my window at night to play hide and seek as i try to mask the room with flowing air from fans and my fiance's huge commercial fan... i still find it hilarious that this small petite woman managed to get a hold of this huge thing... the other thing it could be is the fact that i have tunes from Gnarles Barkley playing back and forth in my head from a days work of chillin on the lake with the future family and taking a few down in the midst of the hot ass sun... so now you can find me here... yes here in front of this computer screen typing my way back to sleep where the air flows freely... can't wait to get to Florida... prolly stay in a villa like the fam but then again who knows prolly get a house...

What the big three are placing more of a focus over seas and across the border to make "All-American" cars at a fraction of the cost to turn around and sell them to "Americans" (and i use that term lightly because we are all immigrants, as long as you are not Native American) that barely afford to feed their children breakfast and dinner but yet they need a car to find work inwhich the public transit system sucks, thanks Kyame and Granholm... Education sucks in MI... yeah raise your kids in Oakland County with the rest of the spoiled brats that complain because they pops bought them the yellow Jaguar and not the pearl white... everywhere else is suspect... oh... including Pontiac...

Now about Native Americans... and i don't want to hear that bullshit "We are Native Americans, brother, born and raised on this land of free...." oh hell, cry me a river and play a bango tune of dixie... raise your kids with the truth... this land was bleed and dried and freed of the true Native AMericans... like the Apache, Black Feet, to name a few Indian Nations that need to be shown respect... and how come there isn't a Native American foreign language in schools? What if i want to learn Native American instead of Spanish or French or German? oh well... it's getting late... and i go on for the frustrations that are going on in my head... but i love this country as much as the next man, i just wish our government took better care of it's own instead of trying to police the world and in the process creating a generation of fatherless children.

The age-old question, "Does size matter?" has been debated for eons. Both men and women alike are interested to know what really gives. Men are obsessed with the size of their penis and many have found ways to make their member larger. Ok so i decided to update this thing once a week... good luck with that, you might say... but seriously...

Hmm... what's new? Well, i'm in to BBQing now but serisouly i need a license of to take a BBQ class because thus far i've done well but we'll see later down the line. Maybe i'll be able to hold it down.

So i've been watching the Outer Limits like a mug and i swear as many times as i've been talking about canceling my netflix subscription, another month always sneaks up on me and i'll be damned if i pay for a month, cancel, and then lose my goolash... no what i'm talkin bout!?!

They commonly feel exhausted and lack the energy and motivation to do even simple exercises. They rather go to sleep, or eat, than go physical. In due time, the calories that are gained and not easily burned are deposited in the body as fat.

Some people may require less hours of sleep to be in top condition during the day; while others need more than 10 hours. But experts agree that most people need at least eight hours of sleep each night to give themselves enough energy to exercise, eat right and keep off those unwanted pounds. Yet, according to a poll sponsored by the National Sleep Foundation, only 30 percent of adults get eight or more hours of sleep on weeknights; while 52 percent do on weekends. A third of adults reportedly sleep no more than six-and-a-half hours nightly.

In fact, disruption in the sleeping patterns in the United States and in the industrialized world is thought as one of the main reasons that people are getting overweight. People should start making behavioral and lifestyle changes now for a better, healthier tomorrow.

How HGH Supplements Work

I have been walking this place without direction and guidance, yet I still find myself afraid to make that jump, that journey down another path to start anew. I never thought I'd find myself in this crossroads, in these shoes. But now that I'm here I try my best to keep a positive outlook on things but my spirit takes a beating that's becoming unbearable to handle. I swear... Taught to fight for what you believe in but within reasonable silence (nonviolent), be aggressive and persistent but practice restraint... in other words it's all bullshit... Let me illuminate your mind and force feed your brain for a minute...

Most people are selfish and while in the midst of "acting" as a friend they always have their own interest in mind. However, there is hope. There are those that are genuinly friendly, we call them true friends. Loyalty, trusting and blunt within reason to build you up, not tear you down. In contrast, there is no such thing as "Pure kindness" or "Pure Innocence." Well, everything that is "pure" is tainted within time and old age. I'm an optimist at times, but I have more faith in the things I hold dear to my heart then in mankind. We have an appetite to destroy and rebuild just to destroy again.
